Julia M. Wren, MD
Dr. Julia Wren is the Chief Medical Officer and practicing Internist at Careteam Plus, specializing in pediatrics in South Carolina. She has earned a strong reputation with every hospital and practice she represents. Dr. Wren graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin after graduating from Georgetown University and has been in practice for 10 years, earned the Bob Herzog Memorial Scholar award, and continues to gain the appreciation from her patients as a trustworthy, qualified provider.

Lesley Plowman, FNP-C
Lesley Styers Plowman FNP-C is a board certified Nurse Practitioner with degrees from Horry-Georgetown Technical College and Walden University. Her nursing background includes ICU and critical care, as well as providing Hospice care. The daughter of a retired Air Force Colonel, Lesley’s family roots are in the Myrtle Beach area and she has been living in Myrtle Beach for almost 30 years. She is currently married to her husband, who is a Nurse and is also from the Myrtle Beach area. She has two daughters that she is super proud of. In her spare time, Lesley enjoys yoga, her family, her cats and watching the New York Yankees play baseball.

James W. Adamson, MD
James W. Adamson, DVM, MD, FACP, is a graduate of Cades High School. As a youngster, he worked the tobacco fields of his family's and neighbors' farms alongside his father, siblings and other relatives. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Science in 1971 and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1973. Dr. Adamson served in the Army in the Veterinary Corps from 1973 through 1975. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, graduating in 1979.

Penelope Campbell, MD
Dr. Penelope Campbell has been a physician for 20 years. She completed her Medical Doctorate and residency in pediatrics at the University of Kentucky. She has more recently been working in family medicine, urgent care, and college health. Dr. Campbell is excited to be joining the Infectious Disease team at Careteam Plus and is working toward her certification as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Away from work, Dr. Campbell enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

James W. Adamson, MD
James W. Adamson, DVM, MD, FACP, is a graduate of Cades High School. Dr. Adamson served in the Army in the Veterinary Corps from 1973 through 1975. He attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, graduating in 1979. Dr. Adamson trained as an Intern at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. From 1991-2002, Dr. Adamson variously served as Chief of Medicine, Chief of Staff, and as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Conway Medical Center. Dr. Adamson earned his National Board of Medicine certification in 1980, his National Board of Internal Medicine Certification in 1983, and was named a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2003. Additionally he is a member of the American Medical Association, the South Carolina Medical Association, the Horry County Medical Society, and the South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Physicians, which awarded him their highest honor in 2008, the SC ACP Laureate Award.
